Active participation

only for students of cello enrolled at the Academy. Titles of the chosen works are to be included in the application. Piano accompaniment is not provided; applicants may organize it for themselves. 

 

Passive participation

is open to the public, but registration is obligatory. Certificates of attendance are available upon preliminary request (including the applicant’s name, date and place of birth, mother’s name.).

Kangho Lee is one of Korea’s most popular cellist and chamber musician. After his studies on the Yale he gained his doctoral degree from the New England Conservatory. His performances with the greatest ensembles of South Korea are highly acclaimed by both enthusiasts and experts all around the world, from Paris and Rome through the greatest concert halls of Russia all the way to the United States. Currently he teaches at the Korea National University of Arts and is a jury member for numerous international competitions.
