Opening the concert, opera singer student Ayane Imai – a pupil of Andrea Meláth, head of the singing department of the Liszt Academy – gave a recital entitled Fish and Orange by contemporary Japanese composer N. Yoshinao. This was followed by Miyamoto Keiko, student of the clarinet, playing Verdi's Traviata fantasy arranged by D. Lovreglio, with piano accompaniment by Mukeda Narihito, and then Fujiwara Shinji, the young pianist who also played in the Yoshinao song, performed Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 by Ferenc Liszt. After the interval Akira's Arrival of Spring and Brahms's Sonata in A major for violin and piano, Op. 100 were performed by Hanoka Saki, student in the violin faculty, and Hattori Shino, student in the piano faculty. The programme concluded with Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in C minor, Op. 6, which brought together Ottilia Revoczky (violin), Chung Hosung (cello) and Morimoto Miho (piano). This international concert, sponsored by the Japanese Foundation, was organized by the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Filharmónia Magyarország, and the Vikár Sándor School of Music.
