Grantees of the Bank of China Scholarship 2016
Ten students of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music won the HUF 500.000 scholarship announced for the 2nd time.
The scholarship announced by the Bank of China Zrt., the Friends of the Liszt Academy of Music and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music was available for Hungarian and international students of either BA or MA or soloist performing arts of the Liszt Academy. According to the call for application the grant can be used primarily for new instruments, instrument renovation, accessories as well as for masterclasses and competitions. From the 89 applicants a committee consisting of representatives from the Bank of China, Friends of the Liszt Academy and The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music has chosen the following extraordinary students for the 2015-16 Academic Year:
- Betterman, Jákob – bassoon
- Curtean, Ivan – cimbalom
- Jenei, Erzsébet – harp
- Hotzi, Mátyás – cello
- Hotzi, Panni – piano
- Liu, Miranda – violin
- Lukács, Gergely – tuba
- Wan-Chun, Tsou – piano
- Vicze, Alexandra – clarinet
