Márton Vörösváry competition win
The first year student at the piano department of the Liszt Academy took third place at the Young Virtuoso international music competition in Zagreb.
Márton Vörösváry entered category No. 5 (18-23-year-olds) in the competition organized in the Zagreb music academy between 12-16 February 2014. 19 young pianists battled it out in two rounds, with the young talent from Budapest playing Beethoven's Sonata Pathétique in C minor, Op. 13, the first movement of Chopin's Sonata No. 3 in B minor, Op. 35, and the first three movements of Bartók's Dance Suite arranged for piano in the final. The student of Gyöngyi Keveházi and István Gulyás – who is also studying violin in parallel with piano at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music – won a shared third place.
