Two gold medals for Kristina Vocetková in Filadelfia

The violoncello student of the Liszt Academy originally from Prague came first even in two categories – string and duo - of the 8th International Music Competition in Filadelfia, Italy.

 

The twenty-three year-old Kristina Vocetková, a cellist at the Liszt Academy coming from Prague has been tutored by Csaba Onczay for three years and is just about earn her BA. She entered in the categories ’string’ and ’duo’ together with Matous Peruska at the 8th International Music Competition organized within the framework of the Filadelfia Music Festival. In the former category, she played Prokofiev’s Symphony for Cello and Orchestra, while in the latter, she performed Kodály’s Duo for Violin and Cello, and in both cases, she was recognised with a gold medal.
