Two wind players awarded at international competitions

Gergely Lukács (under the tutelage of Dr László Szabó), 2nd-year tuba student in the BA programme of the Liszt Academy had been awarded many a prize at international music contests. He now came second at the  22nd Leos Janacek International Music Competition in Brno, where out of the 56 contestants, even two Hungarian musicians could compete in the final.

The flautist Mária Kerner, who graduated from the Liszt Academy in  2016 won first prize at the international flute competition taking place in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland between 15 and 23 September.
