Call for Application
The scholarship is announced in two categories:
full-time students from any school year of any BA or MA or soloist performing art programs. The scholarship can be used for tuition fee, instrument and instrument case, expenses related to masterclasses and competitions or any costs occurred in connection with the studies. Each grantee has to submit a detailed report on the use of the scholarship at the end of the school-year.
Amount of the scholarship: 500.000 HUF per student.
Chamber ensembles (up to 4 members) can apply for this category. 75% of the members have to be full-time students at the Liszt Academy.
The scholarship can be used to cover the expenses related to the chamber ensemble (scores, masterclasses, international competitions) or any costs occurred in connection with the studies (tuition fee, instrument, instrument case)
Amount of the scholarship: 500.000 HUF for each member of the chamber music group

The selection process:
The Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music and the Friends of Liszt Academy will conduct a preliminary selection of the submitted applications and will propose 16 students and 4 chamber music groups for the scholarship to the Committee consisting of the representatives of Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, the Friends of Liszt Academy and the Bank of China (Hungary) Close Ltd.
This Committee will select the 8 students and 1 chamber music group as scholarship holders.
The list of the grantees will be announced on the 20th December 2016.
Contrary to previous information the Bank of China Scholarship results will be only announced on the 9th January 2017 due the high number of applications. Thank you for your understanding!
Responsibility of grantees:
Grantees have to perform at the Bank of China gala concert to be held on the 21st January 2017 in the Grand Hall of Liszt Academy. All grantees have to submit a written report about the use of the scholarship by the end of September 2017.
