The "Stipendium Hungaricum" Scholarship Programme was founded by the Hungarian Government in 2013. This scholarship program is applicable for candidates from countries that have a valid/effective bilateral educational work plan agreement signed by the Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources. (Please check if music programmes are available for the citizens of your country in the framework of the scholarship programme.)
Update 2017: Those who have already started a study programme can also apply for the scholarship to support their second, third etc. academic year of studies at the given higher-education institution in Hungary.
Applicants who wish to use the scholarship to support their non-degree preparatory studies (one year) need to apply in the scholarship application system for the full-time programme corresponding to their main subject in the non-degree programme, and at the time of the scholarship application inform the staff of the International Sub-Department about their intent to apply for the non-degree preparatory programme.
Students of the Liszt Academy who already study in this framework and would like to participate in the specialization year (non-degree program) after graduation, do not have to apply for the scholarship again. Only the staff of the International Sub-Department need to be informed in May. Please note, however, that the scholarship may only be used once for each study level, including the (preparatory or specialization) non-degree programme.
Applicants who are applying for scholarship supported studies (and not for self-financed studies) only need to apply via the Stipendium Hungaricum online application system, and do not need to submit the Application Form of the Liszt Academy and do not need to pay the 60 EUR application fee. Some scholarship applicants who fail to receive the scholarship might be offered to start their studies as a self-financed student. If they accept this offer, they need to pay the 60 EUR application fee along with the first installment of their tuition fee.
