Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship

The "Stipendium Hungaricum" Scholarship Programme was founded by the Hungarian Government in 2013. This scholarship program is applicable for candidates from countries that have a valid/effective bilateral educational work plan agreement signed by the Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources. (Please check if music programmes are available for the citizens of your country in the framework of the scholarship programme.)

Those who have already started a study programme can also apply for the scholarship to support their second, third etc. academic year of studies at the given higher-education institution in Hungary.

Preparatory and specialisation non-degree programmes are not available in the framework of the scholarship programme. In case applicants are offered the preparatory non-degree programme instead of full-time programmes, applicants may only enrol as self-financed students.

Applicants who are applying for scholarship-supported studies (and not for self-financed studies) do not need to pay the application fee, which is for self-financed applicants. Some scholarship applicants who fail to receive the scholarship might be offered to start their studies as self-financed students. If they accept this offer, they need to pay the application fee along with the first instalment of their tuition fee.
