Baroque violin master class by Simon Standage

Present and past concert master and artistic director of English Concert, Collegium Musicum 90, Academy of Ancient Music, English Baroque Soloists; concert master of Orfeo Orchestra; and first violinist of Salomon String Quartet, Simon Standage is holding a master class entitled “The history of the violin” 11-13 from 10 a.m., and 12 April 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The master class is held at Room X of the Liszt Square main building (1061 Budapest, 8 Liszt Ferenc Square).

The course is open to all students and artists interested in early music performing practice. Participation in the courses and the lecture is free of charge for students of the Liszt Academy and the Béla Bartók Secondary School of Music.

 

Participation fee for applicants outside these institutions:              

  • Active participant: 6.000 HUF (per day)
  • Passive participant: 3.000 HUF (per day)

Please bring your own piano accompanist if necessary.

Participation by individual participants as well as chamber music groups are welcome.

A harpsichord will be provided (415 Hz).
