Maestro George Tchitchinadze is a graduate of the V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire Piano Department, under Prof. E. Rusishvili. In 1988 he graduated the Gnesins State Music College in Moscow, Piano Department.  During 1993-1995 years he took internship courses in Symphonic Conducting both at Tbilisi conservatoire (under Prof. O. Dimitriadi) and at the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theatre (Russia). Between 1994-2004 he was a conductor of the E. Mikeladze State Symphony Orchestra (Georgia). In 2000 he received international recognition at the Tokyo International Conducting Competition, where he was a finalist. 
 
Between 2004-2010 he was a Deputy Artistic Director and a conductor at the Z. Paliashvili Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre. Under his direction many opera performances have been staged, restored and conducted both at the Tbilisi State Opera and the Conservatoire Opera Studio. Among them: Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”, Verdi’s “Aida”, Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci”, Rachmaninov’s “Aleko” (conductor); Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale”, Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro”, Verdi’s “Rigoletto”, (musical director); Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera”, Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” (musical director of restoring stage performances).
 
G. Tchitchinadze has toured intensively in such countries as France, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Japan, China, Turkey, Lithuania and many others. He has appeared at such prestigious festivals as La Folle Journee in: Nantes, France; Bilbao, Spain; Tokyo, Japan; Warsaw, Poland. La Roque d’Antheron (France); The Orlean International Festival (France); Chiatura International Festival (Georgia) and etc.
 
His partners were such prominent musicians as Elena Obraztsova, Ivo Pogorelich, Jean-Claude Pennetier, Anne Queffelec, Brigitte Engerer, Luis Fernando Perez, Dimitri Bashkirov, Andrey Diev, Tedi Papavrami, Abdel Rachman El Bacha, Lorenzo Gatto etc. He has collaborated with the orchestras like: Amsterdam Radio Philharmonic Orchestra; Het Gelders Orchestra; Orchestra van Het Oosten; Lithuanian National Philharmonic Orchestra; Lithuanian State Chamber Orchestra; Orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia; Warsaw State Opera Orchestra, National Youth Symphony Orchestra “Sinfonia Iuventus” of Poland; Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra: Orchestra of St. Petersburg State Hermitage Museum; Nanjing Symphony Orchestra; Izmir Symphony Orchestra; Sudwestfallen Symphony Orchestra etc.
From February 2014 G.Tchichinadze is the Principal Conductor of the Ryukyu Philharmonic Orchestra in Japan.
He is an exclusive artist of the Interartists Amsterdam music agency.   
As an associated Professor he has been working at the Opera Singing Department of the V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire since 2000. Teaching is his passion.
