Liszt Academy proposes the unique opportunity to young opera singers to have intensive masterclasses with Éva Marton focusing on the roles of Turandot from 8-26 October 2018

Dr. Andrea Vigh, president of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music has called upon Éva Marton, opera singer and professor emerita to supervise the Éva Marton International Opera Studio hosted by the Liszt Academy. The first postgraduate course will be organised between 8-26 October 2018 with the participation of seven active and seven passive students, personally selected by Éva Marton. The legendary opera singer mainly expects the application of graduates of a master degree and young opera singers.

To honour the 160th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini, the Studio will emphasise the oeuvre of the Italian composer, mainly on Turandot. To provide professional development, Éva Marton, as one of the most authentic interpreters of Turandot’s title role, expects applications with all roles of the opera to participate in the three-week-long course.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU:

- 3 weeks of intensive professional advancement with the following roles from Turandot:

  • Turandot – soprano
  • Calaf – tenor
  • Liù – soprano
  • Timur – bass
  • Ping – baritone
  • Pang – tenor
  • Pong – tenor

 

- 8 individual classes with Eva Marton

- 8 individual classes with opera expert piano accompanist

- 10 hours of stage practice in group with stage director

- 6 hours of group classes focusing on Italian opera lyrics (pronunciation and text analyse)

- public gala concert in the Sir George Solti Hall at the Liszt Academy of Music

- participants receive a certificate upon completing the masterclass
