Mikel Donazar is an enthusiastic clarinet performer and professor. He mainly trained as a clarinetist with Venancio Rius, José Luis Estellés, Tony Pay, Yehuda Gilad and Harmen de Boer. After he earned his bachelors degree in Music (clarinet) at Musikene Conservatory, where he complemented his instrumental training with studies in orchestral conducting, he was awarded a scholarship by the Government of Navarra to expand his artistic studies in the Netherlands. In 2013 he obtained a master's degree in music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He was also given a scholarship by “Musici van margen” to perform concerts and develop musical promotion in the Netherlands.

He has been invited to participate as a clarinetist at various chamber music and orchestral music festivals in Sweden, Netherlands, France and Spain (Aurora, Berio Festival, Apeldoorn, Beyond Music, Quincena Musical, etc). He has collaborated with Le Concert Olympique orchestra, specializing in Beethoven's music, with which he has performed in some of the main auditoriums of Western Europe. Currently, Mikel combines his performing activity as a clarinetist and conductor in various chamber music formations and orchestras with his teaching at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Navarra.
