Bilateral agreements

The Liszt Academy has established several connections with universities in the European Union. If you are one of our current partners and would like to renew or modify our agreement, please turn to Ildikó Zátonyi (ildiko.zatonyi[at]lisztacademy.hu) / Erasmus coordinator / International Affairs & Development

If there has never been an agreement made between our institutions, however, you are interested in applying as a student, teaching or administrative staff member for a mobility period at the Liszt Academy, there is no need to sign the agreement in advance, all applications are welcome and considered. In case of a successful application, the agreement shall be made before the mobility takes place.

ERASMUS+ INTERNATIONAL CREDIT MOBILITY (KA107)

The Liszt Academy has established connections with partner institutions outside Europe within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. The list of partner institutions varies every year. For the academic year 2017-2018, students from the following institutions may apply:

  • Georgia – Tbilisi State Conservatoire
  • Israel - The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance

Study period: 1 semester or a full academic year

Application deadline: 1 March (each year). For specific deadlines for each institution, please contact your institution’s person in charge.

 

 

FULBRIGHT

If you are interested in carrying out your research at the Liszt Academy in the framework of the Fulbright program (http://www.cies.org/) and need to contact our teaching staff regarding your application material (letter of affiliation, invitation letter, etc.), please send a message to Lilla Sugó (lilla.sugo[at]lisztacademy.hu), study administrator / Study Department - International Sub-Department.

GUEST STUDENT STUDIES

If you are a student currently enrolled in a university with whom the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music has a bilateral (exchange) agreement, please contact the person in charge of your institution to initiate the exchange application.

1. BILATERAL STATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Call for applications for foreigners for Hungarian state scholarships to conduct studies and research in Hungarian higher education institutions in regular academic programmes and for summer university courses.

2. STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme was launched in 2013 by the Hungarian Government. The core mission of the programme is to increase the number of foreign students in Hungary and to encourage Hungarian higher education institutions to attract top foreign students; currently over 50 sending partners are engaged in the programme.

Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships are available for bachelor, master, one-tier master, doctoral, non-degree programmes (preparatory and specialisation courses as part of the full-time (BA and MA) study programmes), and guest studies.

3. WEINGARTEN SCHOLARSHIP

The Joseph Weingarten Memorial Trust managed by the Birmingham Conservatoire supports postgraduate study in piano, violin or voice at Birmingham Conservatoire and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest.

For students wishing to pursue non-degree studies at the Liszt Academy auditions are held in February each year at the Birmingham Conservatoire. For more information, please contact Andrea Cox, Trusts & Awards Officer and PA to Principal / Andrea.Cox[at]bcu.ac.uk

Please note that in case of Weingarten scholars the 60 EUR application fee does not apply.
