The "Stipendium Hungaricum" Scholarship Programme was founded by the Hungarian Government in 2013. This scholarship program is applicable for candidates from countries that have a valid/effective bilateral educational work plan agreement signed by the Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources. (Please check if music programmes are available for the citizens of your country in the framework of the scholarship programme.)
Update 2017: Those who have already started a study programme can also apply for the scholarship to support their second, third etc. academic year of studies at the given higher-education institution in Hungary.
Applicants who wish to use the scholarship to support their non-degree preparatory studies (one year) need to apply in the scholarship application system for the full-time programme corresponding to their main subject in the non-degree programme, and at the time of the scholarship application inform the staff of the International Sub-Department about their intent to pursue non-degree preparatory studies.
Students of the Liszt Academy who already study in this framework and would like to participate in the non-degree specialization programme (one year) after graduation, HAVE TO apply for this programme in the Stipendium Hungaricum online application system (see the details in the latest Call for Applications). Please note, however, that the scholarship may only be used once for each study level, including the non-degree programme (as preparatory studies or specialization).
Applicants who are applying for scholarship supported studies (and not for self-financed studies) do not need to pay the 60 EUR application fee, which is for self-financed applicants. Some scholarship applicants who fail to receive the scholarship might be offered to start their studies as a self-financed student. If they accept this offer, they need to pay the 60 EUR application fee along with the first installment of their tuition fee.
