Our professors awarded on the occasion of 20 August

State Secretary Dr Bence Rétvari, acting on behalf of Hungarian President János Áder handed out the recognitions before the celebration of state foundation on 17 August. 

As a recognition of his outstanding achievements in organising the folk art movement professors of the Folk Department, Kálmán Balogh, László Felföldi and Klára Bodza, former professor of the department received the György Martin Prize.

“The outstanding individual performances have contributed to the survival of the Hungarian nation as much in the past as in the future; therefore, their recognition is imperative” – said the State Secretary of the Ministry of Human Capacities on Friday in Budapest during the ceremony on the occasion of the 20 August celebrations. As the state secretary put it holidays are great opportunities to recognise those who do for others, have exceptional talents or complete their tasks with more diligence then the others.
