Renowned artists in new teaching positions at the Liszt Academy

In the current academic year, several lecturers were awarded new positions at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. This includes a new leader for the Keyboard and Harp Department and the Violin Sub-Department of the Strings Department.

Professor Kálmán Dráfi, established university lecturer of the Liszt Academy and multiple award winning artist has retired from his post, and world-famous pianist Gábor Farkas has become the head of the Keyboard and Harp Department and also the leader of the Piano Sub-Department. Internationally acclaimed, Kossuth Prize winning artist Kristóf Baráti continues his teaching career as the leader of the Violin Sub-Department of the Strings Department.

Additionally, Ágnes Ratkó has become associate professor, Borbála Dobozy professor, János Pálúr and Anasztázia Razvaljajeva senior lecturer at the Keyboard and Harp Department. At the Church Music Department, Dóra Laura Pétery is now also a senior lecturer.

At the Woodwind and Brass Department, Csaba Pálfi has become senior lecturer, and Rita Termes associate professor. Gábor Boldoczki and Zsolt Szatmári were appointed professors.

At the Jazz Department Károly Binder continues teaching as a professor, and Ágnes Lakatos has joined the position of senior lecturer.

The head of the Chamber Music Department Balázs Fülei, as well as Renáta Darázs and Gábor Horváth, lecturers of the Conducting Department, are now associate professors.

At the Musicology Department László Vikárius was appointed professor, and at the Strings Department András Csáki became associate professor.

At the Kodály Institute Máté Balogh and Anna Falvai have received the position of senior lecturer.

From their previous status as a contracted lecturer, the following educators have become full-time lecturers: at the Folk Music Department Csenge Konkoly (as assistant lecturer), at the Music Theory Department Horváth Barnabás (as senior lecturer) and Judit Magay (as associate professor), at the Composition Department Balázs Kecskés D. (as assistant lecturer), and at the Strings Department Anna Granik (as artist-professor).
