Tálas Áron Quintet featuring János Hámori A Zeneakadémia saját szervezésű programja

Many reckon Áron Tálas is an alien. He himself admits that he is open and has a good ear for interpreting the different acoustic and register characteristics of the system and their correlations. This is how he became a multi-instrumentalist; on this February evening he plays piano but he is equally adept on drums and bass guitar. His is a true composer’s soul; he wrote most of the numbers for his own band. His original ensemble is the Hybrid Trio, in which Gergely Varga also plays saxophone and László Csízi the drums. This troika is joined by one of the most sought-after young bass guitarists, Tibor Fonay, and guitarist István Tóth Jnr., who won the special prize at the Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition this year. Guest of the Tálas Áron Quintet is trumpeter János Hámori, known mainly for playing in big bands but also popular with smaller formations.
