-;-Kristóf Baráti (violin)
There is rarely a more heart-stopping, more achingly beautiful experience than when the notes of a single violin fill the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy. And where the wielder of the bow is Kristóf Baráti, then we can truly speak of the promise of an unforgettable experience. Kristóf Baráti started as a wunderkind and today even at international level he is termed one of the greatest talents. He studied at the Liszt Academy when he was aged just 12, and at the age of 17 he was discovered by professor Eduard Wulfson, director of the Stradivarius Society, after which he rocketed to world fame. He has toured the world (Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Chicago, Shanghai), worked with a dozen major conductors, won a cabinet full of festival prizes, the highpoint of which was the ‘Oscar for violinists’ at the 6th Paganini Competition in Moscow in 2010.
