Roman Kim is one of the most captivating soloists of the youngest generation. As a modern artist, he created a sensation on the net before he was aclaimed by his audience in large concert halls. Roman Kim's music videos have been viewed over thousands of times on YouTube and spread his reputation as an exceptional violinist around the globe. Kim delights audiences in many countries with his breathtaking virtuosity, artistic enthusiasm and unrestrained energy.
Roman Kim received his first violin lessons at the age of five and at the age of seven he won first prizes in national competitions, which led him to the Central Music School in Moscow in 2000 where he studued violin with Prof. Galina Turtschaninova and also received teaching by Maxim Vengerov. At the age of 16, he was admitted at the Musikhochschule Köln (Cologne College of Music), where he is currently studying with Prof. Viktor Tretyakov. Laureat of many competitions, he regularly performs in major halls of Russia, Western Europe and South Korea.
His most important inspiration are the life and the work of legendary violinist Niccolò Paganini and representative of a very different genre, Jimi Hendrix. The audience in Budapest will also hear his virtuosity performing Tartini’s ’Devil’s Trill’ Sonata and his own play written of a theme on Verdi’s „La traviata” .
