Literary programmes have played an important part in the life of the Liszt Academy on Liszt Ferenc Square ever since its inauguration in 1907, and in this regard it is worth mentioning not only the legendary Nyugat evenings but various reading and theatrical productions in the Chamber Hall as well. This tradition is revived through the associated programme of the kamara.hu festival under the artistic direction of Izabella Simon and Dénes Várjon, in which writer György Spiró is the guest of the pianist couple. Musical works and literature shape a dialogue with each other through the thoughts of three sensitive artists.
