It is no exaggeration to say that 78-year-old Malcolm Bilson is a living legend of historical performance practice and there can be few artists more dedicated to the fortepiano. The Hungarian audience has had a lengthy relationship with the American artist, he is a professor of the Early Music Department of Liszt Academy, and this acquaintance only serves to heighten the significance of the joint appearance, with György Vashegyi and Orfeo Orchestra, at the Liszt Academy. During the recital we will hear two Mozart piano concertos he once recorded with John Eliot Gardiner: the concerto in A major from 1782 and the E flat major concerto from 1784.
